Quote of the Day

“There is nothing worth living for, unless it is worth dying for. ” - Elizabeth Elliott

Romans 12:17

"Repay no one for evil" Romans 12:17,

This verse hit me this morning because I am dealing with a person who is treating me wrong and I to be honest, I want to treat them the same way. But quickly, I repented for evening thinking that. It is hard sometimes, to just stand there and let people treat me wrong. I am learning that I will have to work with people who will be very disrespectful. In turn, I need to show them the love of Christ. I can be a witness to those who treat me or someone I know wrong, by showing the Christ love.

1 Peter 3:8,9 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling,

1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.

Bible Verse from Morning Reading

Romans 12:1-2 (New King James Version)

Living Sacrifices to God
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

My Prayer Book

I have had a prayer book since I was 17 years old and I have written down many prayer request. I think it is amazing to see what God is doing in this world and the lives of people everywhere. In my prayer book, there are check marks to show the prayers answered. I love to pray and have a communication with Him. There is nothing like talking to our God. He is amazing. I think it is a privilege and an honor to pray to a God that is amazing. I can't believe that God would even want to listen to me. I am thankful because of what Christ did, I am able to talk to God.

Bible Verse

Romans 6:12-14 (New King James Version)

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

I am in my second journal and soon I will be on my third journal. Today, I looked at the beginning of my journal to see what I wrote and it went like this:

Abba, what a lovely day. I want to praise and thank You for all things. I start this journal not knowing what I will write in the pages ahead. It is like life, I don't know what's to come but You do. I pray that you would transform me. That I would walk in Your ways and obey You. Show me areas in my life that are getting all my attention. I trust You Abba, help me this semester with my grades. I surrender all to You. Please take control. Help me to move forward and not to look back or go back to my old ways. I pray Amen.

I find this prayer funny because, I would never have thought, that I would two jobs, meet new people and have gone through all the challenges I have gone through. I get excited but at the same time nervous about the future. To be honest, I never thought I would make it to the age of 21, but I am still …

What's Next.....

Wow, I just finish the five weeks as a mentor for the incoming students for Nyack College. I have learn so much about myself and have been challenge in so many ways. I have come to realize who I am as a person, I know that I am very strong and that I can do all things in Christ Jesus. I had to learn to be stern with the students and in turn I gain respect from the students. I also had the fear of talking to people I did not know and letting them know me as a person. I learn that I have nothing to fear and learned the importance in building relationships and friendships with people who are our siblings in the Faith. I walk away from this experience with new friends. I have also poured into the lives of both males and females. I have seen the importance of pouring into the students and seen the students develop. I am so happy that I have grown and that the Lord used me in being a mentor. I can't wait to see what is next, what I will learn and how I will be challenged.
