Need A Break!!!

I know I haven't posted much on here and that is because I am busy. School has already started and it has been very intense and a lot of work in a short amount of time (six weeks). I really like living here in Philadelphia, school and work but I need to focus. I have decided that I will stay off of blogger and facebook. I want to focus finishing my Masters, work, church and most importantly my relationship with God. I hope to be back in the year 2013 of January.

Please pray for me, as I pray for you all (continue to leave prayer request in my email box).

Philly, my new home!

It is official, I moved into my new apartment on Friday. I am truly thankful that I have my own place to live. So far I love being here, I love my room and this place. I have been out and about in South Philly and North Philly. I went walking yesterday, around Temple University and I love it. They have a lot of trucks that sell food and it smells so good! A loot of places to hang out, fresh market on campus every Thursday, movie theater and a Starbucks around the corner and so much more. I really like!

Life's journey without God is empty.

End of a Chapter and on to the next one....

I have some good news, I got a call back about a job working with children. I have my interview next week in Philadelphia. I am truly grateful and happy. Keep me in prayers about this job. I have so much I have to do this week for my Social Work Masters program. I have to write an essay about my immediate and long-term goals as a professional social worker. I am very excited. I feel like everything is going so fast and another chapter of my life is starting. I am also happy to say graduation is tomorrow! I can't believe how time goes by us. I will miss Nyack College for so many reasons. I am happy that I went to a Christian college because it helped me in my walk with God through smalls groups and women that mentor me. I developed as a person, as I worked through a lot of issues especially during my childhood. I am thankful for the friends and the journey I went through. I am leaving Nyack but happy for what is next. I am going to trust in God and know that no matter what He is in…

Signed the Lease in Philly!

Yesterday, I was in Philadelphia and I just love being there. I was able to view some homes and I am happy to say I have a HOME!. It is a really nice place with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and backyard. I felt at home during the tour of the place. I also love that it is five minutes away from the School of Social Work. I am so grateful and can't stop thanking God.

Hello Again!

It's been a long time since I wrote on this blog and I am back for a quick update. As seen in the last post, I got accepted into Temple University MSW Social Work program. I am super excited!!! Lately I have been working trying to save up as much money as I can. I am also looking for apartments in Philadelphia, PA because I am looking to move there in the next month or two. Next Monday, I have a few places I will be looking at and I can't wait. Time is going so fast and I know it might seem crazy but I am ready to go back to school. I just want to learn and grow as a future social worker. I am looking forward to the next stages of my life. I am trusting the God who loves me and knows what kind of journey is ahead of me.

I am happy to say that I got accepted into Temple University for graduate school. I am so happy right now considering I did not get accepted into University of Maryland. I thank God for this and can't wait for graduate school.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jesalin

My niece has turned two today. For those that remember my post on her know that she was born 1 pound and 5 ounces. She is a big girl and I am so thankful that she is alive and well. I am so proud to be her auntie. I pray that she will continue to grow into a beautiful lady that will love the Lord. I love this little girl so much, she is my love. Below are some pictures:

WOW! It's Been So Long....

I can't believe I have taken this long to write a new blog post. So much has happen since I written my last post. To catch you all up to whats new in my life, I will write a list of things below:

1) I was inducted into the National Honor Society
2) I graduated and received a Bachelors in Social Work
3) I applied to University of Maryland, Temple University and Morgan State University. I am now waiting to see what school I will be accepted into.

I am happy to be a graduate and I am excited to what is next in my life. Though I hate waiting at times, I will trust God as He leads and direct my steps. I hope that my readers will keep me in prayer about school and possible moving to a new State. I am too exited and I will let you all now what schools I got accepted into. Also, will try my best to update my blog with new post.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and will use this week to check out blogs and leave comments.
